maybe it does not fit because I put it on my Prostaff 3x9-40mm thinking since the circumference (40mm)for the Prostaff and Buckmaster were the same, the sun shade for the Buckmaster would fit nicely. Not so. Nikon can take some lesson from Simmons, the sun shade fits perfectly where it is hard to detect the seam.
Cons: not the same size as the scope/
