I purchased this scope with mount for my S&W M&P 22. The scope and mount was easy to install and sight-in. I do reccommend that you use a leveling system to ensure the rifle is level prior to mounting the scope. Then check the level of the scope. I did use the blue lock tight on the mount and scope. Also, use some type of torque wrench, ensuring the screws are not overtighted. Also, this scope comes with a cover that covers the optics - something that I never read in the literature. At 50 yards I was able to quickly shoot not only on "paper" but in the 9 and 10 ring. This is dependen...

Nikon P-22 2-7x

by Ron, from AL, United States Written on January 10, 2015
Just received my Nikon P-22. It is a good looking piece of equipment, which clear glass, and excellent eye relief. I ordered it for the pre-calibrated come-ups of 50, 75, 100, and 150 yards. This came with a turret that is calibrated for high velocity 22lr ammo. To use with normal velocity 22lr I will have to adjust my aim point. That is probably my only complaint. Mounted it to a Ruger 10/22 take down rifle, but have not shot it at this time, that is why I only rated it four stars, by guess is that this is a 5 star product for the price.

Solid scope at a good price point

I bought this scope for my Son's Ruger 10/22 and boresighted it before taking it to the range. After a few adjustments it was zeroed in (at 50 yards) and has held zero well ever since. I like the turrets and it's easy to tell when you've made adjustments as the clicks are pretty noticeable. The glass is good for a scope of this price. The BDC reticle works well and we were able to make shots from 25 to 125 yards after a little trial and error. I haven't tried out Nikon's app yet but it seems like it will come in handy in the future. Overall a good rimfire scope for the money.

Great scope for the money.

Excellent optics with positive adjustments. Paired this with my Savage Mark II with Sparrow suppressor for defending my free range chickens. A little heavy for a small rifle. Best mounted on a picatinny rail with medium rings.
Pros:
  • Price and Quality.
Cons:
  • None yet!

Nikon p22 Rocks

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on April 12, 2013
great scope. period. I would seriously recommend you pony up for some nice wheeler tools to help you mount your scope(s) ie the laser bore sighter, although this nikon was with in 2 moa and you would have been on paper without it. I also highly recommend the torque screw driving set so you dont over do it. Moving on it makes a novice feel like a pro using the turrets to dial in your distance. I'd zero at 100 or 75 yds then use the dials for the compensation. Good luck! remember to lift the turret after sight in and put it on the distance your at!
Pros: keeps you on target
Cons: dust caps were broken on delivery

Best scope for SW MP 15-22

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 28, 2012
What a great glass for the 15-22! Easy set up, once you are zeroed at 50 yds, the BDC reticle takes over as you increase distance from the target without adjustment for elevation. 3 inch spinners are no problem at 100 yds @ only 5x magnification. MOA adjustments for windage are accurate as stated. Thanks Optics Planet!
