Good product for the money. Very surprised with the image quality. Would recommend as a starter range finder. Would recommend to my freinds. Was initially taken back on how small the unit is but after using it, it fits my hand very well. The buttons were easy to push. The unit was easy to use and handle.

I love this piece of equipment - it actually a great piece of gear and works as expected.
I am a little hesitant to give it rave reviews only bc it is a Nikon and with all of the "hype" that they put out to the public inre to product/customer service support...that's all it is..."HYPE"! I have never received any acceptable customer service support from Nikon - even on simple issues/questions.
I have several pieces of Nikon equipment, including cameras, the Prostaff 5 - 3.5-14 x 50MM rifle scope and of the Prostaff 7i Range finder. The only reason that I would recommend this equipment is that I am hopeful that some of you reading this will have better luck with product/customer service support than I have.
Just being honest!

Pros:
- Good clarity, nice features and the finish was good. The price was rights as well.
Cons:
- NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT

I just received my Nikon Prostaff 7i rangefinder and am very pleased with it. It is much smaller than another rangefinder I have, and is more precise, consistent, and ranges much farther. I have measured ranges up to 865 yards on a dull, dark green barn. We have a solid white covering of snow on the ground and it seemed not to affect the rangefinder at all. I have ranged various targets repeatedly and have gotten the same readings each time. Readings were within a yard of my other rangefinder, but more consistent. My other instrument will not give a reading unless it is held very, very steady. The Nikon seldom fails to read, even though I'm a little shaky. The image is clear and the 6X magnification is adequate. Overall, I think it is a very good instrument and the price was great. I have had good service from Optics Planet and can recommend them to anyone needing quality optics at a reasonable price.

Field tested the unit at a local golf course and it was quite accurate. I found it to be light and compact, and optics are clear. The calculated horizontal distance calculation on sloped range finding was an added bonus. Programming the units took a little effort (keep manual nearby).
Cons:
- Programming not so intuitive

Nikon Prostaff 7i is a lightweight compact rangefinder. Works well even thru glass. It shuts down after 8 seconds of inactivity, which is a little shorter than I like. Changing the operating modes requires a special sequence and it is a challenge without the manual. The view is somewhat dim. Overall a very good rangefinder.

It is a great rangefinder. I can'tell do without it. It makes me a way better shot. I have used a lot of rangefinders but none is better than this one. I can see the numbers very clearly better than my old rangefinder. I really love it.
Pros:
- lightweight, quality build, ocp (multicam), awesome hydration system

Really like this range finder. Brought it out to a spot that faces our range and verified 645 yards with no issues. Bought this as a gift for my son and am going to buy another for myself to replace my old range finer.
