Nikon quality and value - Nikon PROSTAFF P5 2.5-10x42 Rifle Scope

Interchangeable turrets with Nikon Spot On Custom Turrets (Option). Solid 1” tube, spring loaded instant zero turrets. Excellent eye relief in the 2.5-10x42, with ‘no’ tunnel vision effect. The Nikoplex reticle is absolutely perfect with a nice cross hair; most likely the best duplex reticle I’ve seen.. Knurled turret caps (Aluminum), and aluminum zoom ring are a benefit in cold weather which provide easy access. The scope is enhanced with laser etched logos, ‘Nikon’, and ‘P’. The finish is extremely durable and seems to be well constructed quality in fit and finish. The glass is not ED glass but the sight picture and quality of the coatings are no fluke: good contrast and consistent with low light situations.

As being made in the Philippines, the quality is on par with the many top brand scopes such as Leupold. I know of this for I own a Leupold VX3i 3.5-10x40, along with Bushnell Elite 3500 and an additional Leupold. In this price range, one would be hard pressed to find a better quality component with the glass Nikon provides.

Good F.O.V.: 40.3 feet @ 100 yards and 10.1 feet at low end. Excellent eye relief both at top and lower end. At 75 M.O.A., this scope is easily viable for 500 yards: no question.

I have not field tested the above scope as yet, but I’m reasonably confident that the performance shall match the quality ingrained within Nikon. We would highly recommend this scope ( Nikon 2.5-10x42) ‘Duplex Reticle’ to everyone seeking to find the bullseye. Lifetime warranty.
