Benjamin Tartaglia's Review of Nikon ProStaff RimfireII 3-9x40 Matte BDC Rifle Scope
I bought this ProStaff Rimfire to replace an inexpensive scope I purchased for use on a .22LR Ruger American. I mistakenly thought .22s don't need the best of scopes. The rifle was demonstrating accuracy potential in spite of difficulties in aiming due to using poor optics so I thought an upgrade was warranted, but didn't want to go overboard on the price. The ProStaff was only about $50.00 more than the cheaper scope - but what a difference. Clarity was on par with any scope for higher powered rifles, which is a reason to purchase Nikon and construction does not appear to be watered down for use in a lowly rimfire .22. One elongated hole at 50 yards is possible now due to the improvement in aiming this scope provided.
