Great value
This is my first scope, so my experience is limited to a few other scopes I happened to look through at the range or in a store. This is definitely the brightest and clearest scope I've seen so far, but I haven't checked out any of the really expensive brands. Slight chromatic aberrations are noticeable near the edges of the image, but not in the center.
Comes with rubber caps for the objective lens and eyepiece. You can also install the included nylon case with removable objective and eyepiece covers for another layer of protection.
I was a bit surprised by the size of this thing--it bar...

Nikon 20x60 ProStaff Outfit Spotting Scope
I wanted a spotting scope and didn't know anything about them, so I asked a friend of mine to recommend one. He's a former Marine sniper and runs his own shooting school. He told me not to mess around with a cheap one. They'd tried getting by with inexpensive ones at his school, but none held up or worked well, so they finally went with Nikons. They cost a bit more, but you definitely get what you pay for in this case. I decided to get the Nikon 20-60x82 ProStaff and started shopping around. Optics Planet had the best price by far, over $100 less than the next cheapest price I could find. The scope is crystal clear, easy to use and does everything I need it to do. I'm confident that it will last a lifetime. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a hard case, but I bought a tool box big enough to hold the scope and all the accessories, so no big deal.
Pros: The best spotting scope on the market
Cons: No hard case included or available

Rochigh
Have not taken it to the range yet,(the reason I rated it a four and not a five), but testing it out around the neighborhood it works very well. Objective is bright, zoom features and focus work super easily, and it mounts very simply to a tripod, (which is necessary to get full enjoyment from this instrument.) Great value for the cost.
Pros: Sturdy, bright, all controls work
Cons: none experienced yet
