Fieldscope Zoom Eyepiece

Other than the narrow AFOV and short eye relief, this eyepiece is outstanding. Love how it pushes to 75x on the 82ED which imo is useful compared to the typical 60x max magnification on most spotting scopes. This is a high quality eyepiece. It competes in the same class as all the newest and most expensive spotting scope eyepieces.

Nikon Fieldscope 13-40x/20-60x/25-75x Zoom Eyepiece

I use this eyepiece with the Nikon Fieldscope 50mm ED Angled Body (part # 8304). The image is sharp throughout the magnification range (13X – 40X with my 50mm ED Fieldscope). Its mechanical build and smooth operation is typical of Nikon’s premium line of optics and accessories. However, the rubber end cap meant to protect the eyepiece is a tad too large and slips off too easily – an oversight that does not really detract from this fine eyepiece.
Pros: High quality optic, excellent mechanically
Cons: Protective eyepiece cover doesn't fit well
