Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing digiscoping results-- highly recommended
I bought the Fieldscope III with the intention of using it for digiscoping, which I had not had the opportunity to do before. The process of setting it up with my camera was very simple, and I am extremely pleased with the photo results it has produced-- they're even better than I expected. The scope itself gets the credit for this-- it is amazingly bright and produces incredibly sharp, clear images. If you have a Nikon camera that is compatible with this scope and are looking to try digiscoping, you will not be disppointed.

Nikon Spotting Scope 20-60x60 ED glass straight

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 7, 2012
This particular model/made was not my first choice, however after reading the literature and reviews within Optic Planet site decided on the Nikon model despite a tremendous jump in cost. After just a day of usage out in the reserves watching birds cum hitching justified the extra cost and appreciation of the design weight.
Pros: Easy to setup & highly portable
Cons: Need a good made tripod & head
Would recommend: Yes

Nikon Spotting scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on August 31, 2009
It is a very good product but as with all Nikon products they don't document the actual operation of the device. This is the first spotting scope I purchased and don't know much about them, had to learn by trial and error. Just like the Nikon Camera lenses, they don't discuss operating.
Pros: Compact High quality
Cons: I wear glasses and it becomes difficult to see well at high magnification
