It's about time - Nikon BLACK X1000 6-24x50mm Rifle Scope, Second Focal Plane

I can not understand why it took Nikon over 25 plus years to build scopes like this and now they have. So far the view is great on it's own and the illumination works great when it is needed. Once I had the scope set at 100 yards on my Remington 700 tactical .308 AAC-SD with 180 grain rounds, it was very easy to set up on target with 150 or even 168 grain rounds with no adjustments and used the reticle marks alone for a fast hit. Then when I moved on out to 500 yards very little if any adjustments where made for elevation or windage outside of marking the settings for my records for a faster setup.
Over all this makes for great scope for the range and hunting with out spending 2-4 times has much.
