Just quit working for no reason.
I bought this flashlight about 6 months ago and use it two or three times a day on the lowest setting. I was showing it off to a friend of mine because for small flashlight it is very impressive. It's one of the brightest compact flashlight that I have ever owned. When I was going through the light modes I got to high not extra high or turbo mode but High for about 5 seconds and the light just quit. The flashlight didn't make a noise it just quit no LED lights for power indication nothing just dead. It wouldn't even light up whenever I put it back on the charger. Because this flashlight has a battery that you can't remove there's not much you can do. I only had to charge at one time out of the 6 months I had it because I always used it and the lowest mode. I was extremely bummed out for good reason because I love the light. Would have definitely gotten five stars if it had enough fizzled out.

Nitecore EDC35
This light fits well in a pocket and has more candela and lumens than most other lights this size and price.

It will suddenly, unexpectedly stop working
I bought this a few months ago and was stunned at how bright it was, it was my favorite….actually I’ve got another from another company that I like nearly as much but this was much brighter.
Just returned from a trip. Day one, worked excellent. Second day…NOPE. Dead, DOA. No recharge, no light, no nothing. Just stopped working and since you can’t replace the battery it’s a paperweight or a fishing weight now.
Recommend buying some sort of buyer’s protection if you purchase this- ought to work for at least a couple of years and I didn’t even use it very often.
One thing that should have stuck out- it got VERY hot very quickly, it’s a sign that something is not right but I’m not a battery or flashlight or electronics expert, assume that this was something to do with battery going bad. Maybe no overcharge protection??? I don’t know but I know I can’t use it. Replaced with three others- none of them are even close in terms of effectiveness/brightness, this would light it up for a half mile or something (don’t really know but it was SUPER bright)….LOVED it, not anymore. Will try to exchange but not sure what their policy is…that’s my next activity as of now.
Maybe you’ll get lucky. I didn’t.
