I purchased this item for my 11yo son for Cub Scouts. It's an "adult" item, but has both side and top adjustments to allow for big and small heads. He loves it! My husband chose it for him because it has spots for flashlights both on the top and sides. He specifically wanted the top option for night cooking and reading, instances where you need light in a specific spot and don't want to turn your head b/c you need to also look where the light is going. He considers the side light spots good for hiking and when you need general light.
