Most Helpful Positive Review Nitecore MT10C
This flashlight is the best I have every used. For such a small light, it is extremely bright (920Lumens). The user interface is super simple and works great. On a side note, I unfortunately lost mine while shovelling snow in my backyard. I lost it in January, and once the snow melted away, I found it in my yard in April. I picked it up and turned it on and it still worked. It sat in deep snow in temperatures of -35 for almost 4 months and the battery still held its charge and the light is completely unharmed. Excellent Quality.

Great user interface, odd sizing

The controls are fantastic. It remembers the level it was set on last, so you can keep it on red always without having to search for it. You can always jump immediately to turbo mode or red light. The ability to press all 3 buttons and have it report battry voltage through light flashes is not something I'd seen before. The same mode works as a beacon every few seconds after reporting the battery voltage.

The downside is that it is large for pocket carry compared to other CR123 lights, and small and weak for putting in the normal places you'd mount a 1" tube light. I don't know where this light makes sense, because it isn't in my pocket, in my glovebox, or mounted.

I ran with Stremlight RCR123 and a Nightcore 18350, and couldn't tell much difference in light, but there was a very noticble difference in heat. (These were full batteries and I didn't run them to depletion, so as they discharge maybe the difference becomes noticible.)

I love having a light I can trust to come on red, that can flip to highest white light on demand. But given the strange in-beteen size it would be hard for me to recommend it.

MT10C, slight imperfections.

by Landon1977, from TX, United States Written on April 6, 2016
I ordered the MT10C to replace my problematic P12 (my EDC). Nitecore states that the MT10C will run on either the 123A or 18350, beware that you will need to fit test your 18350 and make sure that they are not circuit protected and the button top is not too tall. Nitecore does not specify this online or in their literature. The MT10C seems to perform (lumens/throw) better with the 18350, but it creates heat faster than the 123A. As for the light it is good for close up work and able to identify a target out to 75 yards (approximately). It is a compact light with good features.
Pros:
  • compact
  • Versatile
Cons:
  • Must fit test 18350
Best Used for:
  • Everyday carry
