Most Helpful Positive Review Fantastic Built-In USB-C Rechargeable 18650
If you are looking for a protected 18650 button top with built-in rechargeability (onboard/built-in USB-C) with name brand recognition you have a few choices. The Streamlight SL-B26 (if you get a recent one in USB-C) at 2600mAh at 70.4mm in length (+/- 0.2mm) from top of button to bottom. The Surefire SF18650B (which only seems to come in micro-USB) at 3500mAh at 70.4mm in length (+/- 0.2mm) from top of button to bottom. Good protected 18650 with USB-C, alternative to SL-B26

Compared to SL-B26, this is about 3 mm longer and has 38% higher rated capacity. Works in Streamlight HL-X Pro although it is a tight fit. Charging over USB-C works, including with C-C cable.

This protected cell is rated for 6A max and is significantly longer than a standard 18650. It would not be appropriate for a lot of devices that need a standard size or high output 18650.

Lengthy, but works in some lights

Just received, so cannot yet comment on battery life. However, can confirm this unit has USB-C and not micro-USB for charging. Can also confirm this fits and works in my Streamlight 88126 ProTac Rail Mount HLX-Pro, though it does feel like a tight fit, so not sure if that impacts longevity or effectiveness of the light in any way, though I doubt it. Overall length measures 71mm with my micrometer, compared to the two Streamlight CR123A batteries that came with the light, combined measuring a hair under 70mm. The Nitecore NL1836R protudes ever so slightly outside the end of the ProTac HLX-Pro before you put the cap on. By contrast, the two Streamlight CR123A's sit just inside the end. I unfortunately do not yet have any other lights to test this battery with, but hopefully this is helpful.
