These were listed as Low Recoil and at first I was skeptical they would be good for self defense. I have researched a wide variety of self defense scenarios and have begun drilling as well as doing my own ballistic testing. I now keep these Noblesport low recoil buckshot loaded at home. I am convinced they have the power to dispatch an intruder, while also having much less penetration than Military Grade Buckshot - helping keep my family of neighbors in another room safe. Yes they still pass through 2 layers of 3/4" sheet rock. . .but don't have much left after that cutting down on serious injury to people in the next apartment or next room..
