Military Surplus GI .30 Cal Ammo Can
How much can you say about a military surplus steal airtight ammo can. Immediately upon receiving it from Optics Planet I filled it with several hundred rounds of 9mm and threw in a few stray 12ga shells that were rolling around my range bag. Well, just as I suspected, the ammo stays in the can while air stays out.
It was in good shape, no rust and the rubber seal looked new.

I fired 25 of these Nobelsport and two other brands. They do kick less and are more often recommended for in home self defense. They patterned nicely. If you want 12 gauge 00 buckshot for home defense, buy Nobelsport low recoil

Another Goldilocks Buckshot story

I brought several types of Buckshot to the range. These were the least expensive per round. An entire box all fired, cycled and patterned perfectly. Using a Black Aces Tactical pump shotgun, with an 18.5" barrel and a full choke. At 10 yards they consistently spread 10 inches, at 20 yards 20 to 24 inches, and 30 yards you will notice much more fly away, but could count on 2 to 4 pellets hitting a torso target. Keep in mind a traditional shotgun with a 30" barrel will keep these huddled together for longer distances. Also keep in mind, 12 gauge 00 buck is like shooting nine 30 caliber balls in the general proximity of your target if under 50 yards. If you need 12 gauge 00 buck, even for only practice and fun. Buy Sellier and Bellot.

Survivor Black Steel 7in. Dagger
This small dagger is perfect to conceal and sturdy enough to stab through clothing. . .however I bought one to make into a spear. It is the perfect size and comes with enough cord to bind this into a shaft. I even used the dagger to whittle down the shaft and cut the notch. Now I have a formidable 6 foot weapon I can use for hunting or self defense.

These Black Aces Tactical 00 Buckshot have the power to cut your target in half. I brought several brands of 00 buck to the range and these had the hardest recoil of them all. Yes I plan to use them for self defense. . .but not inside the home defense as these will shred your sheet rock and keep sailing. They pattern consistently and at 10 yards the 9 pellets will span 9 inches, at 20 yards the span 18 inches, while at 30 yards you may only get 2 or 3 pellets to hit a torso sized target - but remember even if those 30 caliber balls hit an extremity it's going to cause damage, perhaps enough to stop the attack or at least slow the perp down so the next round is a direct hit. I highly recommend these For whatever your 00 buckshot needs are. Oh, I was using a 18.5" barreled Pump today

This small size solid fuel simple folding stove is perfect for any bug out bag or serious backpacker. I use sterno style cans or solid fuel or gel tablets. If I had to I could easily use wood chips or charcoal, although they wouldn't get as hot. Can use one large sterno can or 1 or multiple small cans or tablets. Sort of creates it's own wind break if placed properly on solid ground. Depending on the "cleanness" of your fuel this unit can function indoors which may be super useful if you live in an area prone to black outs of brow outs but still want a hot meal or small amount of heat to ward off hypothermia

These Lambro Buckshot are awesome. Like the nursery rhyme, these are not too powerful and not too weak, these buckshot are just right. They have enough kick to dispatch intruders without being too much for indoor close range self defense. 10 yards they keep a tight expansion with a choked 18.5" barrel

Self Defence and Safety

These were listed as Low Recoil and at first I was skeptical they would be good for self defense. I have researched a wide variety of self defense scenarios and have begun drilling as well as doing my own ballistic testing. I now keep these Noblesport low recoil buckshot loaded at home. I am convinced they have the power to dispatch an intruder, while also having much less penetration than Military Grade Buckshot - helping keep my family of neighbors in another room safe. Yes they still pass through 2 layers of 3/4" sheet rock. . .but don't have much left after that cutting down on serious injury to people in the next apartment or next room..
