This mount is exactly the same model i had on my mich helmet when i served 8 years. Standard mount that has the screw with insert option. My civilian owned mich helmet doesnt have a pre drilled hole and i didnt want to drill it myself so i am pairing it with the Norotos rachet strap style which is just as secure, if not better. I definitely recommend this mount given it is the same durable model/material as the one that i used and its the military and commercial standard for most night vision platforms
