Meat & Tators

by BankWalker, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on August 17, 2025
This bullet is not fancy. It's not the new hot thing on the market. I'm 51 years old and it's my senior by 25 years. It's been around for a long time. It was leap years ahead of it's time. Are there more accurate bullets on the market? Yes. Are they bullets on the market that will penetrate deeper and retain more bullet weight? Yes. Are there cheaper bullets on the market? Yes. Are they bullets with flatter tragedies on the market? Yes. Are there bullets on the market with better ballistic coefficients? Yes. Are they way overpriced? Yes. Will the price on Nosler Partions eventually come down? Yes, I believe they will. Once the older reloaders, the NP disciples eventually die off, sales will greatly fall off and Nosler will be forced to lower the prices or stop producing the NP all together. I'm not gonna lie to you. I only bought these because they were on sale and I got them for ½ their original price. I only deer hunt and it doesn't take much to kill a deer. I shoot those budget friendly Sierra Tipped Gamechanger bullets. I bought a 500 ct. box for my 270 a couple of months ago for $147 delivered to my front door. I box two 100 ct. boxes for my 7mm magnum. I not a competative shooter. Those combined 700 bullets will last me the rest of my life and then some, lol. I already had a couple of hundred 140 grain NP for my 270. I needed thoses other 2 boxes like I need another hole in my head. Maybe this helped? I'm tired of typing.

Tried and True

Partitions offer a great balance between expansion and penetration. Love the 150s out of the old 270 win. I’ve shot black bear, caribou, and whitetail, and while on the smaller end of the spectrum, if I didn’t have other options, I wouldn’t hesitate using it for elk or even moose.
Pros:
  • Time tested solid design.
Cons:
  • A little pricey
