Fits my gen 1 perfect!
Fits my gen 1 perfect. Firs snug with no wobble. The color is not exact match but i wonder if my lower just faded over time. I prefer. I haven’t put any rounds through it yet to see how it cycles. I will update.

Photo misleading
I purchased an upper from optics planet which usually has great deals, this upper not so much. I purchased a 7.5" barrel hand guard, dust cover, forward assist for same price as this stripped misleading add. Returned for refund. This stripped upper came well wrapped and still had scuffs.
noveske gen 1
This reciever is awesome its just a regular milspec type upper but its got the noveske logo on it. Optics planet was fast as always with shipping and upper came just as described.

i love noveske!
The upper is pretty much a regular milspec upper but its noveske, i have a gen 4 noveske already and fell in love with the company, now im trying to piece together all gen1 parts for my next one. Great price for it and fast shipping. product was as described, and im glad because there are no returns for this product. Now i just gotta find a matching lower.

Noveske Gen 1 Upper
Due to review, I specifically asked optics planet to not send me an upper that had any scuffs. I received an unopened package with a Noveske unbroken seal. Just as expected, Quality item. Quick shipping. Thanks OpticsPlanet

It's all in a name!
I used a Noveske stripped upper for a build using Noveske barrels and parts and aside from the absence of T marks on the uppers rail it worked fine.
The other reviews felt it's too expensive and I'm here to tell any future buyer that you are essentially paying for the name.
I personally believe Noveske makes one of the best if not THE best barrels, chrome lined as well as stainless but you can frankly find uppers that work for less money.
In my opinion a builder is better off using 'blemished' receivers and a Noveske barrel but as far as function and fit the Noveske upper, although higher priced, works great.

THIS ITEM SHOWS A ALMOST COMPLETE UPPER NOT A STRIPPED UPPER. THE HIGH PRICE OF THIS ITEM IS THE SAME COST OF A ALMOST COMPLETE UPPER RECEIVER. THIS ITEM IS NOT WORTH IT'S HIGH PRICE. QUALITY IS JUST THE SAME AS COMMON UPPER RECEIVER.
