These boots provide great ankle support and comfort, and are not too wide in the heel like some. Just for reference, I am a woman and consistently take a men's 9.5 (42.5 Euro) in Keen boots, and the same in a pair of Oboz Katabatic Mid boots that I love --but definitely needed a men's 10 Euro 43 in this boot -- they seem to run a bit smaller. I haven't had them long and am not a long-distance hiker so i can't speak to durability; they'll probably last this senior citizen the rest of her life!

My husband has had several pairs of these boots. They wear well and are very good orthotics.

So far I'm very happy with the new Oboz boots. Have'nt hiked significant miles on them yet. Lacing system seems adequate. i do like the metal vs plastic hooks at the top. 14 medium/regular and Fit is great for my long narrow foot. I maeasure 14.5 US standing on the shoe store measuring device and these have ample toe room. No hot spots or heal lift and intially they feel like they were made for my foot. Have been a long time wearer of Solomon and decided to make a leap and try a new brand. Got 5 good years of waterproof use from the solomons until the GTX membrane gave up the ghost. No experience with "BDry" so we'll see. The rear of shaft is noticeably shorter than my old solomons which may preset an issue on a rainy day if my rain pants are not long enough, exposing the opening and allowing water to enter as it runs down pant legs. Tread is aggressive and "sticky" on varies terrain and extra toe protection is a plus. Design is simple and timeless, color was slightly darker than show online but inconsequential as they will be dirty soon enough. Overall, good to go!

fits true to size excellent traction nice and light.
I go with 13 wide for some toe flexibility and I can wear a heavier sock in cold weather while working on my � � farm .
