Legendary USAF “499” Survival Knife
I’ve had mine since 1981. Still in terrific condition and incredibly sharp!
Metal is parkerized” and has that flat-black finish.
Leather should be treated with oil or baseball mitt/glove conditioner.
Sharpening stone included in scabbard.
For those in Civil Air Patrol, this is a preferred knife for field use. (Their restriction is no blade longer than 6” and total length no longer than 11”.). Go figure!
