Great value and excellent quality on my new eotech opmod hws exps2 holographic 1 moa green dot sight - EOTech OPMOD HWS EXPS2 Holographic 1 MOA Green Red Dot Sight

I am going to start with hardbox case, it is foam lined and well sturdy with sufficient space.
When opened you get the first glimpse of the new sights. It is well defines by the battery compartment but not overly big, and this model is tan color. Small cable holding the batter cap securely from getting lost once opened. Looking at the right side we see the dials to adjust elevation and offset to counter the temperature drops, very crisp in operation and well defined stops and completely snag-free.
Let's turn it on the other side, we see the markings of "Green" to signify the reticle color and right under the text, there are 2 small hex screws sitting firmly and securely at the bottom left outer frame. Next to the right of the small hex screws there are 2 small square rubber push buttons to adjust brightness. And class 1 laser small sticker right in the middle of the left side.
So far everything looks high quality workmanship and attention to detail.

So, finally let us take a look at glass transparency and crispiness. It has very light olivish tint looking at cool color images. It is pretty clear and crisp. Pushing the rubber button with arrow pointing down turns on the unit for 4 hours auto-shutoff, pressing up button turns it on for 8 hours before powering down. My particular unit has adjustable, locking QD lever to help me to quickly change the optics or the setup on the fly. It is fastened very securely and snuggly to the picatinny rail, and it only uses 1 CR123 battery which might be little hard to find sometimes due to supply issues.

So let us take a look at reticle and the way it functions. We find very crisp and very defined 68 MOA Ring with single 1 MOA Dot. Green reticle is definitely very easy to see and locate, it can be bit too bright at certain light conditions. Otherwise easy to see it. It is very defined and clear and absolutely not blurry. Let me emphasize this one more time, it has very well defined circle and very accurate dots that is not small not big.

After looking at the sights I can understand why some folks would say it might be a bit blurry from the appearances, but frankly that is the laser doing it's thing. It has very small and defined boundaries. It stays perfect circle all the way to the extreme edge of the optic glass with very small curvature to distort the picture, making it very functional and usable with very wide range of view. In summary, the glass and the quality of the reticle is excellent and amazing expert workmanship that I admire.

Battery cap is opened by turning counter clock-wise, it opens in tight but not to tight aluminum cap that is snuggle fits the battery compartment, and looks of high quality fit. Positive terminal goes toward the battery cap with small spring on the back, the battery does not move due to my shaking it from side to side.

I am impressed by such excellent sights and the superb quality and attention to detail.
I would high recommend this excellent sights and I would definitely buy Eotech products again, hopefully in the near future!
