Ren S's Review of Midwest Industries OPMOD Professional Armorer's Wrench

The functionality of the tool is more than fine, works great in fact, but I was surprised it looked so old and worn. I'm pretty sure I bought a brand new wrench too. I'm not a tool guy and don't order lots and lots of them, but I was expecting something new and clean. The one I was sent had a nice finish but a few areas of the tool had patches of brown specks that almost looked like pitting or rust, and was oily, slick, or greased all over. I took it out of the packaging and immediately wiped it down with a microfiber cloth and washed my hands. It definitely looked and felt like someone used it once, put it in a drawer for 5 years, remembered they had it, then packaged it and sold it off.

Like I said, I'm not a tool guy, so maybe this is normal for certain types of tools? I give the appearance a 1/5 but the tool itself is 5/5. If you need something to just work, or maybe a good blunt object to protect yourself until you finish building your gun, this thing is a solid choice. Also cheaper than the Magpul one, and as someone else mentioned before, this tool is opened ended, so it's MUCH easier to put over muzzles and castle nuts.
