Midwest industries armors wrench, best purchase in a long time
So this was an upgrade for my standard generic Chinese made armorers wrench. Which worked yes but could not guarantee it fit every castle nut that I have on all my different rifles. Barrel nut as well. That old Chinese one just was so out of spec. It was very very annoying. So that leads me into this review. I bought this wrench from Midwest interest industries opmod version . This version only comes in the silver finish. Tolerances seem really good, and really what I got fed up with the other wrench was the castle nut knobs. Way better
This unit is so much better than my old cheapy, it has really good engagement being more refined for a better fit causing less slippage. It feels better to use. Worth the upgrade especially if you can catch a sale. There's a good reason these are popular with the pros.

Midwest armorers wrench
This armorers wrench is really one of the best out there! Especially the muzzle brake part of the wrench how it curves it has a more secure fit than most other armorers wrenches.

Who needs black when you can have highly functional bling?
Unlike one of the previous reviewers, my unit came spotless and lightly oiled inside the MI standard blister pack.
The edges and surfaces are cleanly cut.
I haven't used the barrel nut feature yet, but I have used the car wrench / castle nut end several times.
It functions perfectly, and the overall impression is that of a great, well-made tool, much like a hard-chromed Craftsman wrench of yesteryear.
At a reduced price from the non-chromed version, I had to ask myself - why not?
Very pleased with the purchase, and anticipate getting many years of solid service from the tool.
