Most Helpful Positive Review Pa. Bow hunter
Impressed. Great price, easy to use. Only went out once so far coyote hunting, late night. Could identify deer, and coyotes at 400 yards.
Most Helpful Negative Review Monocular ATN OPMOD
Very unimpressive quality. Resolution is marginal at best. I had to send the first one back because it would not focus and the product was replaced. This one works better but it is surely not the quality I thought I would get. I am thinking about sending this one back as well.

awsome for the $322 sale price

by biggems, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 12, 2024
if you hunt with a thermal scope you need a hand held to spot with, this works well enough to id what you can shoot before aiming your gun at it within 200 yards, if you need more range then get a higher resolution
Pros:
  • easy to use, love the red hot
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • finding heat signatures

Surprised me

by Buck, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on March 1, 2024
This is my first thermal purchase.

I set my expectations low due to the sensor resolution being the lowest available but I'm surprised with how well this performs. Having no prior experience I found that I can comfortably identify a child out to 100+ yds through the woods. I also have a 15lb dog that I was able to detect but not identify at that same 100+ yd distance. This meets my intended use.

The display and image quality is not the sharpest but is adequate. Be sure to adjust the objective lense and diopeter for the best results.

I found the color palette options to be extremely useful as your physical location will dictate what looks/works the best. I tend to like the fusion setting which surprised me, as it's my least favorite option when watching youtube videos. Note that if you're staring into an area with little thermal differences using black hot the picture can almost appear as fog. This shouldn't be a problem, just swap to an ideal palette.

To me the field of view is quite narrow, 50 yds and beyond was my ideal range.

Overall this optic is great for the money. If you need sharper/crisper images with greater contrast I suggest doling out more money and getting a higher resolution sensor.
Pros:
  • Ease of use
  • cost
Cons:
  • field of view

Awesome tool for the price

by Eduardo Simmons, from NC, United States Written on September 17, 2023
For the price of $500 you cannot beat it. It's simple to use, lightweight and compact. The image quality is pretty good. I got it to detect the coyotes near my farm. The battery life is A+. Highly recommended for a good starter therm.
