I also have a Nikon Forestry 550 which has magnification and LED display. I prefer the Nikon exept that it will only measure down to 33 feet. This unit will measure down to 12 feet.
Pros: Well built, has feet, meter & yards down to 12 feet.
Cons: LED display as opposed to LCD. No magnification.
Would recommend: Yes
