The RDB absolutely reduces felt recoil. A bit pricey? You definitely get what you paid for. Looks to be well made. Installation can be 'fun'. If you are replacing the buffer and spring. I would suggest loosening the castle nut, remove the detent (you don't need it) drop in the RDB. Adjust it so there's no preload or play in the bolt.
Pros:
- Reduced recoil substantially
Cons:
- Increased effort to pull back the charging handle
- Increased effort to charge. Mine takes about 25 lbs to break.
Best Used for:
- Fun. So far it's flawless but I only have about 220 rnds through it.
