I see why the majority of the revues are 5 star, this is a very nice performing trigger. Single stage, zero take up, very crisp clean break, short reset. First straight trigger for this old timer, not sure about the hype of these, it’s hard to beat a finely polished curved shoe on the tip of your finger & indexes to your finger exactly for more precise touch, same place, every time. The straight trigger is ok, but I will likely polish the face and radius the front edges. Install is easy peasy, and reliability is outstanding. Lifetime Warranty is nice as well. Overall, this trigger assembly is sure to please, even the most discerning shooter. It is after all, all about trigger control & this trigger provides that in spades.

I have other Rise Armament triggers and love everyone of em. The trigger pull on this one has a crisp clean feel which I like because it keeps you on target.

This is my first RISE Armament AR cassette trigger. It was recommended as excellent value and it true. Very well made, clean design, includes the necessary locking mounting pins, and hassle-free installation. The trigger itself performs above its price point: consistent pull weight, true single stage no-take up, glass rod snap, and smooth-short-predictable reset. I am a Trigger Tech/ Timney/ Giessele “trigger snob, so this is a pleasant surprise! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TRIGGER for your next AR build. FYI: this trigger is in a Stribog SP45a3 Lingle Industries aluminum lower.
Pros:
- Great Value, excellent single-stage trigger, consistent overall performance.
Best Used for:
- AR type rifle/ pistol builds. Hunting/target shooting/ home defense.

I’ve used several drop-in triggers over the years—CMC, Elftmann, PSA and Larue Tactical 2-stage. Each has its strengths, but the RA-242 from Rise Armament stands out for both performance and support.
 Performance:
The RA-242 delivers a crisp, clean break with minimal reset and zero creep. It’s exactly what I want in a single-stage trigger—fast, reliable, and confidence-inspiring.
⚠️ Issue & Resolution:
I did experience a “half cocking” issue during installation. Not ideal, but Rise Armament’s response was nothing short of exceptional. Their customer service team handled my claim quickly, professionally, and went above and beyond to make things right.
 Customer Service:
Rise Armament didn’t just fix the issue—they earned my trust. Their support was personal, responsive, and far exceeded expectations. In an industry where service can be hit or miss, Rise Armament proved they truly stand behind their products. TY
✅ Final Verdict:
This trigger is a solid performer, and the company behind it is even better. Rise Armament gained a customer for life. If you’re considering an upgrade, the RA-242 deserves a serious look.

I love mine. Some people have complained that they have light strikes. Well, the reason is because THEY DIDN’T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! There are two set screws you easily turn from the top upon installing to complete it. Rise Armament gives you the Allen key. RTFM!
Once you do that, everything works flawlessly!
I have these triggers on all four of my lowers.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Inexpensive
- Short reset
