This is a standard style gun mat made from neoprene, just a bit longer to cover a wider area than the ones you normally see. Works fine for keeping parts close by and unmarred while cleaning or working on your firearms. Keeps solvents and oils off your workbench or desk. I was a little disappointed that one corner of my mat was bent as it was packed and now sticks up. These mats have memories like an elephant so it's a pain to correct. I'll live with it though as I don't want to hassle with a return. How hard is it to roll a mat correctly optics planet.....sheesh!
