HAD TO TRIM RIPCORD TO FIT. DID NOT GO AL THE WAY THROUGH BARREL. CAN ONLY GO THROUGH BARREL END THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THE THREADED ENDS. SHOUD CONSIDER ANOTHER TYPE OF RIPCORD. WOULD NOT BUY THIS ITEM AGAIN.

Very easy to use and very durable the bore diameter is just right, with proper CLP and the several rounds through the barrel it is perfect for heavy uses and intense firing schedule owners. must have for the range and training

Let's see if I just got a lemon

Well, the first pass through my rifle and the brass fitting on the end parted from the cable. I guess I'm luck I didn't try attaching a brush to the other end or it would have ended up stuck in the barrel. Returning for a replacement and hoping I just got a bad one with a poor crimp, but we'll see.

First time to use a Rip Cord

Great product! Have always used a rod "n" patch for bore cleaning. This ripcord is easier and faster, and you can coil it up for storage. No more assembly or disassembly of rods, no more storage hassles, the ripcord replaces the rod and all the problems associated with it.

Easy to use

This is easier and more effective than the Hoppe's Viper Boresnake. The 223 Hoppe's I bought will not go through the barrel. The "handle" get's too bunched up and won't fit. This one works great. I wish they would put the wire brush in these like the Hoppe's, but you can't have everything.

easy way to clean the barrel

Soak it, pull it thru until its clean - ya cant go wrong with this. Great for a B.O.B. or anywhere you need to have a bore cleaner. I put them in all my storage locations cause you never know when you will need it.

Great product! Does the job without the risk of damaged to the muzzle crown and chamber critical to precision shooting. This works great in the field and in competition when you don't have the time and tools to due a tear down cleaning.

It's a bore snake

What can you say about a bore snake. Works as designed. Use it for quick cleaning of my 10-22 barrel. Was priced right and was delivered quickly. Will show my grandson how to use it as this is an easy way to do a quick cleaning and is something he can learn quickly.

Ripcords aren't just for skydiving anymore

Otis is relatively new company. I don't know how old ripcord's are in barrel cleaning, but this thing is amazing. The time spent, the level of cleaning looks amazing. I almost want to buy a scope to look down it's length. Not too little and not too much cleaning is the key. Well done!
