I purchased this shell after comparing it to comparable high end shell with similar features. Material, features, quality, and workmanship are ad good if not better. I purchased it as primarily as a shell to layer over a hunting jacket in adverse conditions. Secondarily as an early season out layer. It is perfect for both. I am 6'1" and normally wear a large. The alone is great. Over a midweight jacket the fit is not too tight and range of motion is fine. Most important it will provide the protective layer I was missing. An extra large was just too big. If you like lots of room go a size larger.
Pros:
- The chest pockets are huge and perfectly placed for access with a pack on. The pit zips are generous.
Cons:
- Sizes are true to size but trim. If rou carry extra weight in the abdomen go one size up.
