Vincent's Review of Overwatch Precision Polymer Glock DAT Trigger Kit

I’ve always hated the feel of the Glock triggers. Perhaps that’s the reason I haven’t on the Glock until now. But the Glock 43X has some refinements that his predecessors lacked. However their triggers shoe was not one of them. I wanted an aftermarket trigger that had a good reputation and reviews and wanted something that was an easy drop in. Most of the third-party upgraded triggers cost in excess of $100, including the overwatch TAC. The POLY DAT trigger at $55 seemed like a good gamble and it was. It is a nice, refined flat face trigger with a broad face to spread pressure more evenly across the trigger finger. To be honest I don’t know that I feel any lack of take up distance or reset distance from the OEM trigger. However the general feel is much better. If I had anything negative to say about this trigger it would be that the edges of the face have what one might call a “border” which I would probably have to consider an aesthetic accoutrement as the triggers sides I made of solid polymer I can see no structural purpose for those borders that extend from the face of the trigger. I found those extensions or call them borders or whatever you like to press a bit uncomfortably into my trigger finger. Knowing that I was going to keep this trigger I decided to smooth out the right side to make the trigger more comfortable where my index finger enters the trigger guard. If I were the industrial designer at overwatch I probably would have designed the trigger sides to have a rounded bevel toward the inside rather than an extension/border to the outside. I find that removing that one extended area along the side made the trigger much more comfortable, at least for me. If price is a concern I would definitely recommend this trigger. I should note that the trigger bar that’s attached was highly polished so I need to know attention whatsoever. I could’ve bought a stand alone trigger shoe but didn’t want to mess with removing the OEM trigger from the bar that came with the Glock.I want to add that it was super simple to install. I am new to Glock’s but was able to swap the trigger in about three minutes from start to finish. So again, if your budget minded I just want to get rid of that horrible Glock trigger shoe this might just be the way to go.
Pros:
  • Good price. Functions perfectly. Refined OEM trigger bar
Cons:
  • None
