recoil control
45acp and artritic hands don't function too well together and these grips helped tremendously control muzzle flip. The Pachmyer emblem on the side panels required the gun frame to be scalloped slightly to allow grip side panels to fit flush. Also red loctite these emblems to prevent losing them,but you need nimble fingers for the tiny pieces.

Excellent grip
I put mine on a Tisas 1911 full size. It is very grippy, doesn’t have any weird gaps between the grip and frame, and looks exquisite.

Not just good looking
I ordered these for my Tisas 1911, stainless steel color. The grips fit perfectly as expected, and really made the gun stand-out versus the standard wood grips that it came with. It really took the rebuild to another level.
I was initially concerned that the grips may not be aggressive enough, as I prefer an aggressive texture. Surprisingly, even though the grips fit perfectly is not a ‘shark skin’ or ‘skate board tape’ feel, it is plenty grippy and allows me to early manage recoil flip and get back on target quickly.
I will look at the other color variant as well. Would definitively purchase again.

Well worth it.
I bought this for my light frame Ruger SR 1911 to make it more comfortable to shoot the gun that has won back to back world wars. The OEM grips had a texture that would dig into the hand and make it uncomfortable to shoot. Man it was worth it, they fit my gun perfectly and fit nicely in the hand and it looks great. If your on the fence buy them you wont regret it, Gobbless

Fast Eddie
I have always used PackMeyer grips and I have tried other brands but the back Myers were still my number one I like the way of the group deals and I like the way the finger grooves are put in there . In my mind they are number one and will always be number one as far as I’m concerned I highly recommend them and give them a five star rating and would definitely recommend them done all of my friends

Pachmayer wrap around grips
I purchased my grips for a Ruger SR1911 Commander love them. Gives you a better purchase on the pistol and better control during recoil. Optics Planet also provided fast delivery and a great price. I highly recommend these grips if you don't have some type of front strap checkering.

fit has problems
Grip looks great! But took some(one hour)trouble to fit. I have a Colt 1911-22 government and I had to drill holes in the pistol for a rivet on the grip to recess in for it to be flush fit. Once done it looks great and feels nice to grip. but optics planet had the best price but took a few weeks to get. Patience because Pachmayr is running behind on production.
