I put 3 caps through my henry, and 3 through my s&w 15-22. I averaged five shots on both before the cap broke.
They will be good for storing my rifles and a test fire or two after cleanings. For actual dry fire practices, I will be looking into other snap caps.
If 1 shot is the other brands limit, I guess the 5x marketing is not wrong. For the price, I am not complaining, but I was looking for something a bit more meant for dry fire/misfire practice.

Bought these with the anticipation of allowing a "dry fire"...found that the base flanges literally "shatter" when dry fired, allowing little pieces of plastic to fall down into the rifles action. The firearm I have is not readily disassembled to remove the plastic fragments....these are basically useless.

These do not work in Ruger Mark IV. They will not feed from the magazine. If you put them in one at a time into the barrel, you can fire and it will extract, but then you have to put another one into the breach. As others have pointed out, the rims last only a few times. I had one where the rim fell off and the around went into the barrel. I like other A-Zoom products, but this one is not recommended.

Good for practicing putting rounds in and cycling them through magazines for a training aid for newbies. They definitely wear out from firing pin strikes, but the exercise is good for practice and muscle memory.

I have a Ruger 10-22 and a Browning Buckmark. I have these guns tricked out and like to pick them up to practice getting a sight picture. I know I can't dry fire them but every so often it just happens. That is why I always use the snap caps. They do the job of protecting my firing pins. They help keep my guns running by protecting them from my mistakes.

These are good for only one or two uses, this is due to brittle materials. They worked well in my Ruger 10/22, loaded every time. A couple did not eject and were broken in the receiver. A cleaning rod removed them easily. Better than dry firing but disappointed with quality due to being brittle and one or two uses at the most. If you don't mind the waste they are good for using with your magazines and a lot easier to use than snap caps.

after use in my bolt action CZ 452, the rim broke and extracted the "leftover" with a cleaning rod from the muzzle. It looks like the plastic is to hard or too soft. It is not "durable enough" I had hoped to get more than one use and easier removal.

Loaded them into a Ruger single six. The rims broke off with the first use. The package says the firing pin will mark the case, just like actual rounds, not break it off. And that they may be dry fired up to 10 times, not once and one.
