Able to shoot for extended periods without discomfort. Choose small size for Mossberg 500 with wood stock. Purchase with another item to ensure free shipping. After reviewing the sizing my recoil pad slipped on fairly easily. Needs some massaging and pressure to stretch and push on the pad, which is ok as the pad needs to stay in place. Looks very well made and extended my length of pull which I needed.

Purchased one for my sons 7mm rem, worked so well I ordered myself one, now we can stay longer at range and he won’t have to worry about recoil while hunting. Definitely cheaper than adding a muzzle break.

Small is a Good fit for SKS

I purchased a small-sized butt pad for a Chinese SKS - more for a bit more length of pull rather than recoil. Worked like a champ. Based on the fit of the small for the SKS, I suspect a medium would be a bit loose, but that is a guess.

I have used a number of slip on pads for firearms that are too short for me. This one is a real winner. It adds the extra length and really is a good recoil pad. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering installing a recoil pad, to nail down the length needed before a full install. Just beware, you might simply leave this pad on as it works.

I bought a size Small to put on my Ruger 10/22 stock, not for recoil absorption but to increase the length of pull. It is high quality construction and looks good on my 10/22! Make sure you order the size appropriate for your stock size. It may not fit perfectly, but stretches well if stock is a little big. My size Small is a little loose on my 10/22 stock, and I'm thinking of using some double-sided tape to help keep in place.

May be a little loose or tight.

Recoil absorption, increasing length of pull.

great investment

I had a buddy put one of these on his Nova. I immediately put one on my KSG. Totally changed the way it felt firing...for the better. Then had a crazy idea to try one on my A10 with CTE stock....sounds goofy but it actually looks ok and took most of the rise to the right out of the recoil....as to where target acquisition for follow up shots was effortless. Same buddy didn't even want to shoot it after firing it with the regular stock...talked him into it....he said it's a totally different firing rifle with it on. Very minimal investment...try it.

This product looks great. This product works great.I have recommended this Pachmayr Decelerator Magnum recoil pad to all of my hunting buddies.
Make sure to measure the butt of your stock for the correct sizing of the recoil pad.
I used the black colored recoil pad on a darker brown stained butt stock.

Slip on is great

This slip-on recoil pad fit my Browning BAR 30-06 perfectly and looked good too.
It dramatically reduced the felt recoil of a powerful round. It'll tame any gun.
Don't forget that it will increase your length of pull.

Shoulder Saver

Slipped a Decelerator butt pad onto my 7mm Rem Mag Steyr Forester then to the sighting range. Went through a box (20) 158 grain Remington Core Lokt loads with almost no felt recoil.....amazing!

If your shooting big loads....get one!
