Pachmayr Recoil Pad F250, Black w/ White Line Base
The Pachmayr Recoil Pad F250, Black w/ White Line Base, grindable recoil pad was the perfect finishing touch to my project to refit my 10/22 stock with a heavily figured one I finished from a blank to upgrade the rifle. Easy to work with and it finished out beautifully. I could not be more pleased.

Had to do some grinding to get to fit, but well worth the effort. Looks great with the White Line Base.

best recoil pad for rifles
This is a top quality recoil pad that is perfect for a rifle or 20 ga (or less) shotguns. It is thinner and much better looking on rifles than a standard 1" pad. Brown looks best on wood-black for plastic stocks. You must have a bench grinder to install it-regular metal wheel is fine-along with a good bit of skill and patience or you can damage your stock. The wheel will grind stock wood/plastic just as well as it does the pad.Go slow and careful and TAPE that stock! I always do the last bit with a hand file to cut the chance of a serious nick.
Pros: thinner than shotgun pads
Cons: requires some skill and care to install
