Most Helpful Positive Review 1911 Magazine Bumpers - A must have
Anyone who has a 1911 and has tried to perform a tactical mag change has an appreciation for magazine bumpers. They increase speed, provide a positive insertion point and protect your hand from getting pinched. These Pachmyr bumpers are very well made, moderate in height and best of all, Pachmyr has...

Most Helpful Negative Review Pachmayr 1911 bumper pads
I have bought other pads (Ed Brown, McCormick) the holes matched perfectly with my mags. All differant makes. No problem,Went on fine. I bought the pachmayr pads because of their smaller thickness, easier to carry concealed. The holes did not align. This is not something that should need a gunsmith ...

Excellent product.

The best bumper solution for colt M1911 magazines, period. I have installed these bumpers on both 7 and 8 round magazines for my Series 1980 Colt 45 ACPs (I own 2, one being the RG model) and they are great. Both my Colts have magazine well extensions and the magazines with the bumpers sit almost flush. They ship with the template and screws and the drilling is a simple operation, even without a drill press. The bumpers themselves are light, hard rubber, not cheap plastic that can break, or metal that adds weight to the magazine. Perfect for practice or competition where your magazine will hit the ground/pavement.

Good Product

by jki, from WA, United States Written on January 7, 2015
These Pachmayr magazine pads for Hi-Power (and similar) magazines are a good, functional product. They came OEM on the magazines that came with the Browning Hi-Power Practical model, so they are good enough to meet Browning's standards. If you clean and de-grease the magazine floor plate before installation, then have no worry that the adhesive attachment of pad to plate will fail. I have had these on a few of my magazines for many years, and they have never come off. If you want extra magazines for your Practical, add these pads to your regular mags and save a bunch of $$$ over OEM replacement magazines (if you can find them).
Pros:
  • durable
  • Functional
  • OEM Quality
Cons:
  • Looks like an 'Add-On'
Best Used for:
  • competition
  • Tactical Reload
