Most Helpful Positive Review Best recoil pad IMHO
Have installed over 20 of them without a problem. Try that with a Gooey or a Kick-eze pad. Pros: Easy to grind and fit. Cons: Pad size is not exactly as noted but still sufficiently large to fit about any gun.

Pachmayer recoil pad

I needed a little more recoil buffering for my 300 win mag. The installation took a little fitting to my Bell & Carlson A-5 adjustable butt plate. But what a difference. The pad was 1" thicker then my original pad and looked great. Fit to my shoulder was also improved for length of pull. Felt recoil was greatly reduce for better accuracy. The package came with great instructions to properly fit your pad. In most cases this is not a direct fit and may need fitting.

Pachmayr Trap Recoil Pads XLT , Black w/ Black Base - Medium, 1.15 Thick

I was suprised how such a soft recoil reducing pad could sand to a nice fit and finish so easily..And really reduces the thump better than any other pad I have used.
Pros: super soft, easy grinding
