best rifle case EVER!
this is my first pelican case, and i must say it wasnt my last. i was so impressed with the quaility, i went and bought another (1750) for my bolt action. the 1700 has enough space for my AR w/6 mags, Glock w/4 mags. room for optics and quite a bit more.
Pros: rugged, air/water tight.

The lock sucks
For this price， I expect better overall quality. The lock on this case sucks. The case body is made from heavy duty plastic, but it is over priced. The cost of thr case is about 50 bucks. The design is vey basic. Also, it cannot stand vertically.

Pelican Case
Great case. Super sturdy, protects my favorite range rifle and pistol 100%. I put it in the back of my truck with other gear that I carry and have absolutely no worries about my guns in this case.

Wish website showed all options
The case is great. I only wish the website had provided the options for the foam panels - I would have ordered the pickable foam instead of what came in the case.

Great case
This is one of the best cases on the market. I also upgraded the foam inserts with custom products from Gunformz. The case is a bit heavy, but that is the trade off for protection that a soft case cannot give. You can always roll it on the wheels and the lifetime warranty is great.

Weapon Transport
Pelican has transported my weapons around the world without any incidents, the 1700 case is capable of securing two SBRs with optics, it would be wonderful if pelican offered foam internal cutouts from computer generated measurements

Another Quality Pelican Product
As with all Pelican products, this is a quality case. You do get what you pay for, and when I compare it to my cheaper cases, there is no comparison. It just depends on what you are looking for and what you are trying to protect. No point putting a $7000 precision rifle in a $100 case to throw in the hold of an airplane, nor is there a reason to put a Hi-Point (sorry all you Hi-Point fans) in a $300 case.

Excellent case
This is a hard gun case. My case has foam that is easy to trace and cut with a sharp knife to your specifications. The case is very sturdy and with wheels is easy to transport. I recommend this case for secure transport or storage.

Pelican 1700 NF
Product is excellent and lives up to other reviews and ratings. Purchased without foam and added a SERT tactical soft side case to the inside. Originally I thought I would remove the soft side case and forgo the hard heavy case locally. However, this hard case filled is not that heavy and the wheels help on hard ground so I think that the soft side case will live in the hard case. BTW - this case is for a FNH SCAR 16S in FDE with Elcan SpecterDR 1.5-6x. I liked this hard case so much that I purchased its brother (1720) for the 17s.

This is THE largest rifle case you can use for checked baggage and not pay an extra $75
After some extensive research I found this case from Pelican to house my Kimber 84M when traveling out west to hunt. Please note, a rifle will not fit unless you takedown the stock from the barreled action, BUT, if you do the case is wide enough to fit both parts with the action scoped. There was room enough to make a cutout to hold a box of bullets and the whole thing weighs about 25 pounds. As long as your checked bag is under 62 linear inches and 50 pounds it will not incur a dreaded $75 "oversize" baggage fee (on top of whatever your airline is ripping you off for to check the bag in the first place). I feel confident that my very expensive rifle will be safe from baggage handlers in this case.

secure case
This case is very secure. I bought it for a FNH SCAR-16S. Works great. No issues. Made it on a plane ride with no problems. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to secure their expensive rifles and firearms.
