I decided on this case so that I could have a rugged lockable case for the range or traveling with multiple firearms. With careful planning, and not getting too far ahead of myself, I was able to fit 3 rifles, 3 pistols and at least 3 mags for each. Experiment with differnt layouts and with rifle assembled and broken down to fit more in. The pluck and pull foam is great to get close to a custom fit insert. When you are certain about the lay out and have fit everything you want, I recommend using a hot glue gun to seal up the pre cut lines in the remaining foam or it will continue to separate. For an extra layer of protection and to keep the foam from falling apart, I used a few cans of plastidip (lowes/HD) to reinforce. Apply in light coats and wait for it to dry before applying another layer. Also, don't spray on too thick or it will slightly "shrink" the foam.

Learn from my mistakes:
1. When you take out all of the layers, stack them in the original order and orientation and mark them with chalk so you can put them back the way they came out. If not, the plucked layers may not line up perfectly. Not a big deal but a little annoyed that I didn't notice this before I started. Now one layer may stick out 1/8"
2. Really be creative about how you orrientate rifles,magazines, gear. To fit in more, I ended up leaving one magazine in each rifle because there was enough space below the lower that wasn't being used.

Excellent piece of gear. Holds lots of stuff and keeps it dry. Should have gotten three of them!
Pros: Waterproof, large volume, fat wheels, handles at both ends, sturdy, stands vertically, held 6 medium-sized firearms
Cons: Longer would have been nicer, but not surprised at length. No other cons.

I own several Pelican cases and when I needed a secure large dry storage box for my Polaris Ranger's bed I knew this would be perfect, and it is. Love it.

This is the best travel case I have found to transport two scoped carbines and two pistols. Overall dimensions (L+W+H)results in most airlines charging an oversize fee. Will fit side to side in most full size rental car trunks. Pluckable foam is fast and easy but cut solid foam results in a better final product.
Pros: Holds two scoped carbines and two pistols in each level,
Cons: Clamps can be difficult to close.

Case is great, bought 2 and am using them to move with my firearms. Foam leaves a lot to be desired but I will fix that with custom foam sets later.

Would have preffered to be able to put 3 padlocks on it, but oh well.

Cons: Pick-n-pluck foam squares are huge and make outlines rough. Only 2 lock placements, would like at least 3. Had to buy something to seperate the foam layers from each other to allow multiple firearms.

We bought this case to transport medical equipment used for teaching a course across Canada. It is perfect, holds everything and we still have room left. Our medical equipment is now protected and everything is in one place, in a container that is very easy to secure, to lift, push and to fly with. Excellent!!

Held up very well on cross country flight, manageable in car and whelling thru offices.

Held tripod and 4 light stands with room left over and was still under 70 lbs.
