L1 works for me
I purchased the L1 primarily for hunting & fishing in darkness, with green filter installed to save night vison & not attract bugs. I arrach the L1 to the side of my cat brim with small alligator clip, plenty of light for walking & tasks in the dark.
Pros: simple, color filters included
Cons: would prefer AA or AAA over button type batteries

i ordered 2 black & 2 yellow ones from OP for a camping trip to Idyllwild. we needed some for all the kids to run around safely at night... i was a little bit worried about the "12-lumens" so i also picked up a couple from home depot just in case they were not cutting it, ill start by saying that the others never even got opened up. these little guys kick light a respectable 25 feet before getting drowned out, and up to about 15 feet you can see perfect in pitch black! they came with light filtering lenses for night vision/ green and my son loved playing with them (it has an adjustable neck lanyard as well to keep it from disappearing). the lights were perfect, i dont think i can express that enough, so well in fact that i didnt even break out the streamlights or the surefires! those were all that any of us needed all weekend, my new edc go to.

Faithful, trustworthy and always handy
I've been using these little flashlights for more than 20 years. I carry one at all times and keep spares handy. The original ads for them claimed 139 hours of battery life and I believe it. They are bright, waterproof, fit easily in your pocket and are very sturdy. Next time there is a power outage, or you just need to shed a little light on something, you will be glad you have it with you. Don't leave home without it!

Product review of mini flashlight
Overall, a very useful and easy to stow, safety, backup light. Powerful enough to help get one out of difficult environments and has good run time.
