I have several pairs of earmuffs from 3M and Howard Leight. While all of them are in the approximately 30db reduction range, 3M muffs definitely offer more sound reduction. That is due to the type of foam they use in the sealing rings. The 3Ms use a softer type of foam pad, which seal around the ears and eye protection better thereby providing more hearing protection while increasing comfort. The ear cups are also sufficiently deep so that you can use earplugs inside that stick out a bit and won't interfere with the ear muffs.
Like most other earmuffs, the headband adjustment is only held by friction. So after a while, the ear cups may sag a bit requiring some readjustment. These earmuffs also aren't the lightest.

Working great for me. Not use to shooting indoors so these have taken the edge off of the confined noise. Have not used them outdoors but can't believe there would be any kind of issue. Very comfortable. Won't know you have them on.

What's to say? They work just fine! And the price as well as quality is great! Good protection at the range when I and everyone else was shooting. No ringing ears here! They are comfortable too. I don't think you will be disappointed if you were to purchase.

Great hearing protection.
I got these for my wife, as she hates wearing muffs that mess up her hair. They stay in place pretty good, but if needed, there is a velcro type strap that will go over the top of your head.

These are great hearing protection and very comfortable to wear. The behind the head instead of the over the head give you the opportunity to wear a hat with them and are easier to take on and off. I wear these on the tractor, mower, using other lawn equipment, and shooting. I've got them in the truck, on the mower, on the tractor, and with my shooting equipment. I now have 6 of them. I would highly recommend these to anyone.
Pros:
- value
- Lightweight
- comfortable,
Best Used for:
- shooting
- yard work
- heavy equipment

Due to the extreme efficiency of reducing noise these are best for shooting when you are alone on a range. When there are other people present you can't hear range commands very well.
Pros: Great noise reduction, comfortable, well made
Cons: Noice reduction so good you can't hear range commands
