Peltor tactical pro neckband model works well - 3M Peltor TacticalPro Electronic Hearing Protector - Neckband Model

This hearing protector is very effective at amplifying normal sounds while suppressing gun shot reports. It takes a little getting used to but is comfortable to wear for several hours at a time. One operating note not mentioned in the manual - you must hold the on-off button down for several seconds to turn the unit either on or off. This unit isn't cheap but is worth the price.
Pros: comfortable to wear, long battery life
Cons: instructions could be better
