Most Helpful Negative Review Jay Howard
I like them other than mine only last about 1.5 hours max at the lowest setting. The description says up to 16 hours. I reached out to 3m waiting to hear if something may be wrong with mine, I will update my review depending on what they say.

Peltor TEP-100

by CCB, from UT, United States Written on December 6, 2023
These electronic in ear hearing protection are amazing. Excellent when shooting rifles. We’ve used these for years and just live them. Be careful when changing out the foam plugs. If your not careful you can break off the tip of the device.
Pros:
  • They cancel a lot of noise. Especially when using skull screws
Cons:
  • The tip can break off easily if you are not careful.

Work as advertised

by AL, from VA, United States Written on July 30, 2021
These work well and as advertised, however they might not be the best and safest choice for indoor shooting ranges. Outdoors, even when shooting next to others, the noise canceling feature feels sufficient while still allowing for conversation. I prefer to use a regular 32db foam earplug in my ear closest to my gun with one of these in my off ear.
Pros:
  • Easy fit
  • Work as advertised
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Outdoor shooting

Great ear pro for outdoors

by RAWWWB, from CA, United States Written on November 14, 2018
Excellent fit with 3 optional size ear buds but not enough protection for high caliber firearms especially indoors. They are great for doubling up on ear pro with ear muffs muffs. Perfect for comfortable outdoor shooting of smaller caliber guns. If you are shooting high calibers indoors be sure to double up

Good electonic hearing pro

by ShtBrd, from FL, United States Written on June 7, 2017
The Peltor electronic earplugs have served me well. I purchased the skull screws ear tips and they provide excellent noise protection. I have not used them indoors so I can't speak for that use but I have shot outdoors with an un-supressed SBR and they do great. They have been comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. The charging/storage case is very convenient and nicely built. The only cons is they are a little pricey and the battery life isn't set up for all day use without having to re-charge, but being how compact they are, I cannot fault the battery life too much. When battery goes, they work as regular ear pro so it is not a huge deal.

Comfortable

by JDW, from TX, United States Written on March 15, 2017
The most comfortable hearing pro to date used! Super simple charging method. Fits ears very well and you don't even know you are wearing them. Have used Peltier's, MSA Sordins and many other hi end. These will replace all your other hearing Pro.

jims second evaluation after range session.

by paul, from CA, United States Written on May 30, 2016
I am up grading my first impression of the tep-100. out door range use most of the day. they performed well, still not comfortable however I am finding that its a new way to wear elect, hearing protection and will try better foam plug ends. the self chagrining storage box works well, the retention cord stays on. system stays in ears well. no noise distortion so far so good. now they did take a hit on performance at a indoor session I could not use indoors did not muffle gun fire well enough to take more than several rounds and I have one foam end piece I have not tried as of yet. I will in stall it, test it indoors, and give my final evaluation. I have a neat trick I will try if it works then these will be best in ear system for the money. ( I WILL GIVE YOU MY TRIK IF IT WORKS THESE WILL BE BEST IN CLASS.) be aware if you try them on you own them, you can not return them. the out door session batt charge petered out before I was finished so cant give definitive answer as to how long it lasts can say got several hours( three1/2 may be a little more.)

not tactical

by paul, from CA, United States Written on May 27, 2016
poor gun shot sound suppression, uncomfortable. will try to modifiy them to help muffle gun shots. can not use indoors or in confines you will blow out your hearing. hallway, auto, bus, they might be good for arial platform work have not put that to the test. I do want them to work however, most that do. price range 900$ and up from there. for your use they might be fine, beweare: once tried on you bought them no returns.

electronic ear plugs

by paul, from CA, United States Written on May 3, 2016
just got,em today I was very selective in the buying process, that's why I chose O.P. ok here it goes. they are not comfortable, not to sure how well they will noise cansell when indoors. it says tactical ( I feel that word is overused and over rated)tactical means to me, movining long durations in confined space. auto, airial platform ,indoor shoot house/range, hall way in your home.they seem well made not sure what country, the storage case is sturdy(micro pelican esque) they charge up fast how long the charge will last not sure 10 min of use and charge light is red. noise reduction seems lack luster.not sure if I should have held off on buying and waited for reviews to get some eval feed back. iam ok because I have had great coustomer service from O.P. if further testing uncovers poor product performance I know they will make it rite. ya buy,em your ears might be comfy. peltor is a good co. I have used msa for long time may be iam spoiled.
