Pentax 10mm xw - Pentax XW Extra Wide Fully Multi-Coated Eyepiece

I purchased the Pentax 10mm XW for use with a telescope (150mm f5 Newtonian reflector). So far this eyepiece is fantastic. This was my first premium eyepiece, and I am very pleased with the view. I wish I had bought one sooner.

Compared to a 10mm plossl, The 20mm eye relief and 70FOV are great. Even from light polluted skies, the view of the M42 nebula in Orion's belt is really cool at 75x. The eye-relief is is very comfortable, although I have to touch my glasses against the retracted eyecup to see the field stop. Of course with a 70 degree FOV, you really aren't looking for the field stop.

This is a big eyepiece, so with my telescope/mount combination (EQ-3) the setup is a little shaky with a barlow.

Overall, I'm very pleased. This is my fourth purchase from Optics planet and will certainly come back again.
