I purchased the Phase 5 Pistol Buffer Tube assembly after researching and comparing similar designs. The Phase 5 model I purchased is held in very high regards within the AR pistol build community because of their engineering and excellent build quality. Another benefit is the tubes outer diameter and length which will accept a few models of the slip-on braces from SB Tactical should the end user elect to do so. I invested in the Phase 5 Pistol Buffer assembly as a back-up setup when legal issues were initiated against pistol braces by federal entities. AR pistol design origins began with this design of padded buffer tube and is accepted without reservation by the BATF.
