Fits but TIGHT
Picked up a sig 716 but due to putting a scope on I can no longer easily use the stock charging handle, so the difficult search came to find a replacement. Turns out the 716 is unique in several ways, including the charging handle, meaning the design is different than a std 308 AR type. Only two companies make a replacement. The first is a company that only makes for military contracts, and their overstock is only occasionally sold to civilians. And the second company is Phase 5. So this is it folks if you want and extended handle for your 716.

Nice design! Very well made and a huge improvement over the factory charging handle.

Way better than factory hamdle . Its nice to be able to find something for an older factory weapon system,the only other option is the factory tread i handle,and its more than double the price if your can find it.

Sig 716i Charging Handle
Works Great and Fits perfectly. I am a lefty and is a big improved over a standard charging handle. Also I think the size is just right. Not too big where it snags, but significantly larger than stock.

Great option for your Sig 716i
The original charging handle on the 716i can be a challenge to cycle, especially with gloves. The Phase 5 so far has exceeded my expectations. It is quality made, fit and cycles perfectly with no mods needed. I'm now able to easily cycle the rifle, even while wearing gloves.

Works for sig tread
I got this to replace the crappy original charge handle the sig tread ar10 has and this works great. Easy fit. Does not block gas to the face if you suppress the gun, but little silicone will help with that.

A good charging handle
If you are looking for a good charging handle for your sig 716 look no futher. It helps when you have a scope attached it will let grasp the charging handle properly. This charging handle is so much better then the original since it bigger to grasp.

better then what i had
I have not had the chance to test out but it seems to function in my sig 716 which normal ar-10 charging handles don’t work in. It arrived on the expected day and very well packaged. Had no issues installing the part.

Works well with 716i Tread
This is a good replacement/upgrade for the Sig 716i Tread whose stock part is awful. Honestly I'm not even sure how many alternatives are out there. Even the Sig Pro shop couldn't help and told me any AR10 charging handle would work (that's not correct). Full disclosure, this Phase 5 charging handle is a little goofy looking - but it works well with both hands and does the job just fine. I'll take function over fashion any day when it comes to firearm parts. Price is good as well. Only concern is durability with the ambi-latch, but we'll let time tell on that front. 5 stars for now.
