Most Helpful Positive Review Plano take-down case
Cant beat it for the price. Excellent for storage of a shotgun when it will not be used for a while. Accommodates a wide range of shotguns (I have one for a field gun with 26 in. barrels and another for a trap gun with 34 in. barrels). Provides very good protection for the gun and easily fits in closet or trunk of (sports) car. Pros: inexpensive, protective, convenient size Cons: clips occassionally come off (easily put back on)

Just what I need

I bought this gun case to transport a Weatherby Element 20 gusge shotgun. I took the chance that it would fit into it. It made it by about 1/2 inch when broken down. Just what I needed. I've order a few items from Optics Planet and have been very satisfied with the transactions. Twice the chokes that I ordered would not fit into the barrel of the shotguns properly. I returned them for exchange and the replacements worked perfectly. I don't fault Optics Planet for them not fitting and praise them for the quick replacements.

You get what you pay for

This case is very inexpensive and it shows. However, it does what it says it will. I have to complaints about it: 1) The plastic piece in the middle makes it very cramped for my over under. 2) It didn't hold my gun tight enough and the barrel slid into the stock and left a scratch.

great hard case for the money

I bought this case to ship a Custom Stocked Stevens 410 sxs, the gun arrived at it's destination in the same Beautiful Condition as when I put it in the Plano Case.
The USPS couldn't damage the gun & that's saying something!
Pros:

  • protecting your gun during transporting

Inexpensive Take Down Shotgun Case

Keep in mind that the sizes specified are for the outside dimensions of this case. I was able to just fit a 20Gauge 1100 Sporting shotgun with a 27" Barrel. It is tight and I had to make sure that the barrel and stock / forearm, were both protected. This case is best suited for a small frame Over and Under taken down rather than a Semi Auto shotgun, but it is a good value as a simple protective case.

Bought for PS90 due to stated dimensions

Product not accurately described on web page, wasted my money...the cost of shipping to me and to return was about the same as product, so I kept it.
Gave to my daughter in law, her shotgun did fit...she likes it.
Pros: inexpesive...
Cons: stated dimensions were OUTSIDE, not inside! PS90 did not fit!

Good Protection

I used this case to ship a shotgun to a gunsmith. I put it into the original cardboard box when I shipped it. Everything was well protected shipping to and in return shipping

Just What My Hi Point Carbine Needed!

Perfect for my Hi Point 4095. Not too big, not too small. Just perfect!
Pros: Fits the Hi Point Carbine without a mounted scope.
Cons: Wish it was a few inches bigger for a mounted scope.

Case was very helpful. My benali broke down fit perfectly and case fit I'm my clothes bag so I didn't have to check two bags at the airport.
