I love this radar gun. I owned a "pistol" type radar gun, but it was so bulky and conspicuous that I used it only sparingly. I can carry this gun in the pocket holster provided and be hands free, and pull it out when needed. I take it to every game, and use it extensively.
As for performance, I have compared it side by side on two separate occasions to the more traditional expensive guns, and the readings were spot on identical. I even compared it to a minor league game gun (I was sitting right behind home plate behind the screen), and my readings were identical to the stadium gun readings posted on the scoreboard.
I also own the original "Classic" pocket radar gun (identified by the red button) and this "Ball Coach" version is a nice improvement. This new version eliminates the need to time the pitcher's release, which sometimes would cause mis-reads or no-reads. With this new version, its point and press the blue button, and the device does the rest, without missing a pitch. There's even a hands-free setting, in case you want to set up the device, and let it record independent of the user. It has a 25 pitch memory.
Absolutely amazing!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
