Outdoor only, but unmatched performance - Precision Armament Hypertap Muzzle Brakes, 5.56x45mm NATO

I’ve been a skeptic of compensators and brakes, maybe it’s my engineer education going beyond what I really know. But I’ve got religion now. This turned a 10.5” 5.56 AR into a diving rod. It actually felt unmovable during recoil. And frozen without much recoil — certainly less than my 1911 in .45. Never imagined that would work. But I had to stop shooting after 30 rounds. I could taste the lead and my bones were weary from the blast wave. How lloud I can’t say. It felt loud on my skull if that makes sense. I doubled up on ear pro in advance. So I’ll need a separate indoor device if I’m to shoot this rifle again. But outdoor this will be a monster.

I rarely write reviews. This had to be said. Both as an endorsement and a warning. Seriously … be careful.
