Placed base on rifle and pressed down on one end causing the other end to lift off 1/8", pushed down on other end = same deviation. I then placed base on a flat metal surface, with ends touching metal surface 1/8" gap in middle. JUNK! Bought a Seekens aluminum base for $20.00 more. Seekins fit perfectly
